Yes, today was a bad day for svn on alioth, and then / ran over because
ldap went crazy.  Such things happen, let's see how they are dealt with.
I have little problem with alioth as long as I have direct acceess to
the repository, meaning I can move away any time I want.

Until you get your account, you can send in patches.  Yes, I know that
sucks, but it's still better than nothing.
