I thought that after following the instructions in the manual, 
echolot would automatically request and then add the key, as it 
usually does with other remailers.

I have now manually added (by cut and paste) the mixmaster key 
to my main mixmaster keyring (is that the right place to have 
added it). Is that all I need to do, or is there still more?

It isn't obvious in the data directory. The metadata files are 
all .gz - do I have to extract them all?
