[Nym3-devel] Keys in nymserver

Hi,

I have a question about the usage of keys in nymserver. At the
protocol level, there are currently 2 keys for each account : one for
signature and one for encryption.

I was wondering if the encryption key is really necessary : as a
matter of fact, when travelling on the network, data ara already
encrypted using a key present in the surbs, isn't it. If I get it
right the only use of the encryption key is to cypher the mails if
they stay too long on the server, am I right?

If I am, could we imagine a degraded mode where this option is turned
off?

Furthermore, is there anything restraining us to give the key used to
generate surbs as the identification key?
