The mixminion network is getting slightly better from my pinger stats:

    https://nowwhat.lateralis.org/minion/

(we are above 70% again).

When processing a return message from the server, the client may
process it and give no clue as to what just happened in the following
cases :

    - STATUS message,
    - SUMMARY message with no actual synopsis,
    - unimplemented message (DROPPED and ERROR).

If you still have the return message you could use mixminion to
decrypt it and determine in which case you are.

I think it would be better to inform the user of what is going on,
even if only to say that nothing was done. So no, you're not doing
anything wrong.

I could test that too. And I'm also still waiting for replies to my
synopsis requests... I've now specified a short SURBPath in my
mixminionrc to speed up things somewhat :

SURBPath: ?,?
